2016 Veterans Day discounts
Military.com has compiled a list of free or reduced goods and services offered to servicemembers, veterans and their families by businesses and organizations in honor of Veterans Day. The list will continue to be updated as it gets closer to Nov. 11.
Keep in mind that most businesses require proof of military service, which can include a VA veterans health identification card, military ID, DD-214 or veterans service organization card (e.g., The American Legion, VFW, DAV, AmVets, MOAA and FRA. In some cases businesses will accept a picture of the veteran in uniform.
Note: Not all franchise locations participate in their national chain's Veterans Day programs so contact your nearest establishment to make sure they are participating.
Restaurant Discounts on Nov. 11:
54th Street Grill – Veterans and active-duty military get a free entrée.
Applebee’s – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a limited menu.
Arga’s – Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a fixed menu.
Back Yard Burgers - On Nov. 11, active-duty servicemembers and veterans get a free Back Yard Classic Burger.
Bakers Square - Veterans and active-duty military get a free breakfast from a set menu on Nov. 11.
Bar Louie - On Nov. 11, veterans and active military personnel get a free appetizer or entrée.
Ben’s Soft Pretzels – Veterans receive a free jumbo soft pretzel at participating locations.
BJ's Restaurant - Active-duty military and veterans receive a complimentary entree under $12.95 on Nov. 11.
BLT Steak - On Nov. 11, parties of two or less receive a 50 percent discount, and parties of three or more receive a 25 percent discount, for veterans and active-duty military.
Bob Evans – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a select menu. Bob Evans is also offering a 10 percent discount to all veterans and active-duty military from Nov. 12 to Dec. 31 for dine-in and carryout purchases.
Bonanza Steakhouses - Active-duty and retired military get a free buffet on Nov. 11.
Boston Market - Active-duty or retired military personnel and their families can receive one free brownie or cookie with any purchase on Nov. 11.
Bubba's 33 – Veterans and active-duty military get a free lunch.
Buffalo Wild Wings - Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive one small order of wings and a side of fries for free on Nov. 11 all day.
Burntwood Tavern – Veterans and active-duty military get a free lunch or dinner.

Cheeseburger in Paradise - Veterans receive a free burger with fries on Nov. 11.

Chicken Salad Chick - On Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military receive one sandwich or scoop of their choice of chicken salad, one side, a pickle spear, a cookie and a drink.
Chili's - Veterans and active military servicemembers get a free meal from a limited menu on Nov. 11.

Aquarium of the Pacific – Veterans and military personnel get free admission on Nov. 11.
Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Areas – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component servicemembers, and their families at the USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide Nov. 11.
B&Bs for Vets – Complimentary rooms will be offered to veterans on Nov. 10-11.
Birmingham Zoo - All active and retired military, veterans and their dependents will receive free admission on Nov. 11, 12 and 13.
Book Taxi Group - BookTaxiBarcelona Group, in honor of Veterans Day, will offer between Nov. 11 and Dec. 31 up to a 10 percent discount in airport private transfers at over 400 locations worldwide.
Boston Bruins – In conjunction with Military Appreciation Night on Nov. 10, all military will receive 20 percent off at the ProShop and all Fan Zone locations on the night of the game.
Colonial Williamsburg - Military families can receive a free admission ticket Nov. 11-14.
Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden – Veterans get free admission on Nov. 11.

LEGOLAND Florida - Veterans get free admission Nov. 1-20, as well as 50 percent off tickets for up to six accompanying guests.
Main Event - Active-duty military and veterans bowl for free from open to 3 p.m. on Nov. 11.
Mariners' Museum - Free admission is offered to all military and up to four of their immediate family members on Nov. 11.
Mount Vernon - All active-duty, former or retired military personnel are admitted for free on Nov. 11.
National Parks – Veterans will have access to over 100 national parks that require entrance fees for free.
National Veterans Day Run – The National Veterans Day Run on Nov. 11 offers veterans and active-duty military a reduced-rate entry into the race, as well as discounted rates to their spouses.
National World War I Museum & Memorial – On Veterans Day weekend (Nov. 11-13), admission is free for veterans and active-duty military personnel, and half-price for the public.
Natural History Museum of Utah – Veterans and one additional guest each receive free admission on Nov. 11.
Newseum – Active-duty and veterans, plus one guest, receive free admission Nov. 11-13.
NY Waterway Ferry - NY Waterway will provide free ferry/bus service for all active-duty and retired military personnel with valid ID on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11. Those presenting valid ID to deckhands will ride for free.
Oregon Ducks - Veterans and active duty military are invited to attend the Nov. 11 men's basketball game vs. Army. A military discount is offered on lower-level tickets at $10 (up to a $25 value) and upper-level tickets at $5 (up to a $10 value).
Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium – From Nov. 11-13, active-duty servicemembers and veterans receive free admission. Immediate family members will receive half-off general admission.
Pro Football Hall of Fame - Throughout the month of November, active members of the military and veterans plus one guest will be allowed free entry.
Queen Mary – Free admission to active servicemembers, retired military personnel, veterans and special discounts for their family members on Nov. 11.
Red Roof Inn - Red Roof Inn is offering 15 percent off stays in the month of November to veterans, active-duty military and their families.
Riverbanks Zoo and Garden – Active-duty and retired military receive free admission on Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Southampton Inn - Veterans get a special $125 nightly rate for any stay in November (except for Thanksgiving).
UFC Gym - Active-duty and veteran military personnel as well as their families get VIP status Nov. 11-13. VIP attendees will receive total gym access, including a special class on Nov. 12.
Westgate Resorts - Beginning Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. EST, the first 1,000 eligible servicemembers who complete the online military appreciation form and place a fully refundable $75 deposit will receive a complimentary three-day, two-night vacation for up to four people at Westgate Town Center May 5-7, 2017. World of Coca-Cola Atlanta - The World of Coca-Cola grants complimentary admission to all military members (active duty, reserves and retirees) year-round, but the attraction is expanding the offer to their loved ones. From Thursday, Nov. 3 to Sunday, Nov. 13, members of the armed forces may purchase up to four half-price general admission tickets for their friends and family.Tickets may be purchased with a valid Armed Forces ID card at the ticketing windows.
Zoo Atlanta – Veterans, active-duty, retired and reserve members get free admission and $4 off general admission for up to six accompanying guests on Nov. 11.

American Family Care - Military veterans get a free flu shot on Nov. 11.
Army & Air Force Exchange Service - The Exchange is offering Veterans Day deals on various items, including holiday gift items and food court and mall purchases, starting Nov. 10.
Bed Bath and Beyond - Veterans, active duty, reserves, Guard and spouses get 25 percent off their entire purchase Nov. 10-13.
Brides Across America – Brides Across America holds a wedding gown giveaway in partnership with bridal salons across the country in November to honor Veterans Day. Qualifying brides register to attend the event at a participating bridal salon by completing the registration form and paying a $30 fee. Once verified, you will be assisted in finding a gown from the selection.
Brooks Brothers - Active-duty military and veterans get 25 percent off in-store purchases Nov. 8-11.
Dollar General - Activ-duty servicemembers, veterans and their families get an 11 percent discount on qualifying purchases on Nov. 11.
Enterprise Car Sales - Active-duty military members, veterans and their dependents get a Firestone Prepaid Maintenance Package with any used vehicle purchase during the month of November.
Firestone Complete Auto Care – Between Nov. 11 and 13, veterans and active-duty personnel receive an additional 10 percent off the lowest advertised price of any automotive service.
Grace for Vets – Car washes from around the world who join this program offer free car washes to veterans and servicemembers on Nov. 11.
Grease Monkey - for Veteran's Day we offer special promotions for veterans and active military that include free, 50 percent or $10 off a full-service oil change at participating locations.
Great Clips – On Nov. 11, customers who come in for a service can get a free haircut card to give to their favorite veteran. Veterans can also receive a free haircut or get the free haircut card. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 31.
Home Depot – Home Depot offers a 10 percent discount to all veterans on Nov. 11. Home Depot offers the 10 percent discount year-round for active duty and retirees.
iPic Theaters - Former and current military members get a free ticket on Nov. 11.
JCPenney - In honor of Veteran’s Day, JCPenney will offer a 5 percent discount from Nov. 10-13 to current and former military personnel and their immediate family members with valid military or VA identification provided in-store. The discount can be combined with additional coupons and special offers, including a $10 off $25 coupon with any form of payment or 20 percent off coupon when paying with a JCPenney credit card.
Lowe's – All veterans receive a 10 percent discount on Nov. 11. The offer is available in stores only.
Meineke – On Nov. 11, all veterans will receive a free basic oil change at participating locations.
Publix - Veterans, military personnel and their families save 10 percent on groceries on Nov. 11.
Rack Room Shoes – Military personnel and their dependents get a 10 percent discount off an entire purchase on Nov. 11.
Scottsdale Bullion & Coin - Veterans and active military members are offered an exclusive 1 percent discount on all purchases made between Nov. 9 and Nov. 11.
