George Gray is a proud 22-year member of the Sons of The American Legion James T. Rayle Squadron 123 in Lexington, Georgia. His eligibility for membership is through his father, Marvin W. Gray, who served in the United States Army during World War II.
George has held numerous leadership positions within his squadron and the Detachment of Georgia. He currently serves as Squadron Adjutant and has previously served as Squadron Senior Vice Commander and Squadron Commander. At the detachment level, he has served as District Commander and District Adjutant, Detachment Junior Vice Commander, Senior Vice Commander, Detachment Commander, and Membership Chairman.
In addition, George has served for four years as both a consultant to and a member of the National Membership & Squadron Activities Committee.
He is a graduate of the National Management Institute and has completed Columbia University’s “Be The One” training program.
Beyond his work within the Sons of The American Legion, George remains active in his community. He currently serves his county on both the Board of Elections and the Board of Assessors.
