SportsEngine to power Legion Baseball department website network

Together, American Legion Baseball and SportsEngine – a member of the NBC Sports Group – will create an American Legion department baseball website network.

Resolution No. 5, adopted by the National Executive Committee during Spring Meetings last May, gives all 50 Legion departments the ability to have a new, powerful and mobile-friendly baseball-specific website on one single hub. Currently, each department creates its baseball website independently.

SportsEngine, a leader in providing technology solutions to national governing bodies, leagues and teams, was selected as the provider of the network after careful consideration. The Minneapolis-based company will create and support a network of websites that will be offered to each department.

The network of websites will feature the same template that provides easily accessed information, dynamic graphics and baseball-related features such as live scoring with GameChanger, tournament management software, scheduling and league manager capabilities, and team manager tools.

The website network is expected to launch for interested departments in February.

“We are very excited to work with SportsEngine to help promote the Legion Baseball program with some of the most powerful and easy-to-use technology on the market,” said Gary Stone, American Legion Baseball chairman. “This network will help departments effectively communicate and market their programs and continue to grow our program.”
