2023 Legion Baseball Regionals: Thursday roundup

Rounding up the second day of the 2023 American Legion Baseball playoff regionals as the season ended for 16 teams in the double-elimination tournament.

Brody Cook (2 doubles, 1 RBI) and Nick Foster (3-run double) led Florence, which scored 8 runs in the top of the 6th inning to overcome a 5-0 deficit.

Game 8: Richmond (Va.) Post 361 d. Columbia (Tenn.) Post 19, 6-3.

Starter and winner Michael Lewis (6 2/3 innings, 2 strikeouts), Gunnar Stromberg (double, home run, 1 RBI), Cameron Slough (2 hits, double) led Richmond.

Paragould scored all eight runs with two outs in the bottom of the third inning. Brooks Nigut singled twice in the inning, leading off with a hit and then completing Post 16’s scoring binge.
