Past and present Boys State staff encouraged to apply to serve at Boys Nation

Current and former Boys State staff interested in serving on staff at American Legion Boys Nation are encouraged to apply.

A printable application form is available online by clicking here.

The application form is aimed at creating a database of Legionnaires, Sons of The American Legion and other Boys State staff who would be interested in also volunteering to serve on the Boys Nation staff. The application is not aimed at filling specific positions; rather, it’s to have information on those who are interested in case there is a staff opening that meets the skills and education of those who apply.

Applications must include the department adjutant’s signature.

Service on the Boys Nation staff requires a minimum 11-day commitment in July for the program, including arrival in Washington, D.C., in advance of the young men selected to represent their states at Boys Nation. This year’s Boys Nation program is July 21-27, with staff arriving a few days earlier.
