Find a new career at one of March's events

March brings a full slate of career events for veterans, servicemembers and military spouses:

March 6: Herndon Job Fair. Focused on cleared candidates, cleared IT, IT security, cybersecurity, engineering, intelligence, military or veterans. 2-6 p.m. Security University, 510 Spring St., Herndon, Va.

March 7: Military Spouse Employment Forum at Dover Air Force Base. Open to all military, veteran and Gold Star spouses; servicemembers and veterans are also welcome. 9-9:15 a.m., event kickoff; 9:15-10 a.m., military spouse education and employment panel; 10:15-11:15 a.m., salary and compensation negotiations panel; 11:15 a.m.-noon, best practices for LinkedIn and social media panel; noon-1 p.m., lunch; 1-2 p.m., real spouses, real stories panel. March 7: JobsGuide Job Fair. 1-4 p.m. Comfort Inn & Suites, 7007 Grover St., Omaha, Neb.

March 10: Detroit Military Hiring Fair. Open to active duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses. 9-10:30 a.m., career connections workshop; 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., hiring fair. John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R St., Detroit.

March 10: Neighborhood Outreach and Job Fair. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. St. Pius X Church, 6905 Blondo St., Omaha, Neb.

March 13: Tampa Hiring Expo with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Open to active duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses. 10:30 a.m.-noon, career connections workshop; noon-3 p.m., hiring fair. All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Lightning and the Ottawa Senators. March 20: Military Spouse Employment Forum at Carlisle Barracks. Open to all military, veteran and Gold Star spouses; servicemembers and veterans are also welcome. 8:30-9 a.m., registration; 9-9:45 a.m., LinkedIn workshop; 10-10:45 a.m., national focus on military spouse careers panel; 11-11:45 a.m., salary negotiations workshop; noon-12:45 p.m., interactive panel discussion with employers. March 21-22: Fort Bliss Transition Summit. Open to active duty servicemembers, Guard and reserve, veterans and military spouses. Wednesday: 8:30-9 a.m., job seeker registration; 9-9:45 a.m., event kickoff; 9:45-11:15 a.m., career planning and networking workshops; 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., lunch; 1-4 p.m., industry briefings; 4-5:30 p.m., mock interviews, resume reviews and LinkedIn photographs; 5:30-7:30 p.m., networking reception. March 27: Washington D.C. Hiring Expo with the Washington Wizards. Open to active duty servicemembers, Guard and reserve, veterans and military spouses. 10:30 a.m.-noon, career connections workshop; 10:30 a.m.-noon, job seeker workshop; noon-3 p.m., hiring fair. All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Wizards and the San Antonio Spurs. Capital One Arena, 601 F St. NW, Washington, DC.

March 27: Medivac Free Service Fair for Veterans. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. American Legion Post 82, 220 Buck St., Millville, N.J.

March 27: Charlottesville Job Fair. 3-5 p.m., reserved for candidates who have active security clearance/military and veterans; 5-7 p.m., open to all jobseekers. Doubletree Hotel, 990 Hilton Heights, Charlottesville, Va.

March 29: Dahlgren Job Fair. 3-7 p.m., includes free resume seminars. University of Mary Washington-Dahlgren Campus, 4224 University Drive, University Hall/Room 110, King George, Va.
