Event at Hollywood Post 43 among job fairs nationwide in April

Here’s a look at some of the career events scheduled in April for servicemembers, veterans and military spouses:

April 3: New Orleans Hiring Expo with the New Orleans Pelicans.

  • 10:30 a.m.-noon, career connections workshop.

  • Noon-3 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Charlotte Hornets.

  • Smoothie King Center, 1501 Dave Dixon Drive, New Orleans.

April 9: Cleveland Hiring Expo with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

  • 9:30-11 a.m., career connections workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair, mock interviews and résumé review.

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Charlotte Hornets.

  • Quicken Loans Arena, 1 Center Court, Cleveland.

April 16: Camp Pendleton Military Spouse Hiring Event.

  • 10 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • Camp Pendleton, 202850 San Jacinto Road, Oceanside, Calif.

April 23: Los Angeles Military Hiring Fair with The American Legion.

  • 9-10 a.m., résumé workshop.

  • 10-10:45 a.m., LinkedIn workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • American Legion Hollywood Post 43, 2035 North Highland Ave., Los Angeles.

April 23: Patuxent River Job Fair.

  • 3-7 p.m., job fair.

  • Includes 1-2 résumé seminars.

  • Bay District Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 46900 S. Shangri-La Drive, Lexington Park, Md.

April 25: Veterans’ Casino Career Fair.

  • 9 a.m.-2 p.m., career fair.

  • All active duty, National Guard, reservists, veterans and their spouses are encouraged to pre-register at https://ti.to/njccc/2019-veterans-casino-career-fair but walk-ins are welcome.

  • Casino Control Commission, 1325 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, N.J.

April 25: Joint Base Andrews Top 3 Job Fair.

  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m., job fair.

  • The Club at Andrews, 1889 Arnold Ave., Joint Base Andrews, Md.
