Job fairs coast-to-coast in June

Here’s a look at some of the career events scheduled nationwide in June for servicemembers, veterans and military spouses:

June 3: Seattle Hiring Expo with the Seattle Mariners.

  • 9:30-10:45 a.m., LinkedIn workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair.

  • All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Seattle Mariners and the Houston Astros.

  • T-Mobile Park, 1250 1st Avenue South, Seattle.

June 3: McLean Military Spouse Professional Networking Reception.

  • 7-9 p.m., networking reception.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • Capital One Headquarters, 1680 Capital One Drive, McLean, Va.

June 5: Fort Belvoir Military Spouse Hiring Fair.

  • 10 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • Fort Belvoir Community Center, 10300 Taylor Road, Fort Belvoir, Va.

June 11: Fort Jackson Career Summit.

  • 8-8:30 a.m., registration.

  • 8:30-8:45 a.m., welcome and event kickoff.

  • 8:45-9:45 a.m., interactive panel discussion.

  • 9:45-10:45 a.m., LinkedIn for veterans and military spouses.

  • 10:45-11:45 a.m., 2019 Employment - Keys to starting your new career.

  • Noon-1 p.m., lunch and learn.

  • 1-3 p.m., mock interviews, resume review and free LinkedIn profile photos.

  • 2-4 p.m., career fair.

  • This event is free and is open to active duty servicemembers, Guard and reserve, veterans, and military spouses.

  • Fort Jackson NCO Club, 5700 Lee Road, Columbia, S.C.

June 12: Fort Lee Job Fair.

  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair.

  • Open to all job seekers. Base access is required; see link for details.

June 17: American Legion Transitioning Workshop.

  • 8:30-10 a.m., resume workshop.

  • 10-11 a.m., financial literacy workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-noon, federal resume workshop.

  • Noon-1:30 p.m., networking reception with employer panel.

  • 1:30-2:30 p.m., LinkedIn workshop.

June 18: Atlanta Hiring Expo with the Atlanta Braves.
