Symposium set for veteran entrepreneurs in New Jersey

Veteran entrepreneurs in New Jersey will learn how to grow their businesses at the fourth annual Mission: Veteran Entrepreneurs Symposium and VET Tank Pitch Competition.

The event will take place Nov. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brookdale Community College Student Life Center, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, N.J. The event is sponsored by The American Legion and the U.S. Small Business Administration and conducted by America’s Small Business Development Centers-New Jersey (NJSBDC).

The symposium will include information on transitioning leadership skills from military to business, strategic financing and tips, and tricks in digital marketing. The agenda also includes a keynote address by Department of New Jersey Veteran Owned Business of 2018 owner Santiago Cuellar Jr., who will speak about his 32 years in the U.S. Army and how he was able to transition his skills into two successful businesses.
