Servicemembers, veterans and military spouses interested in owning a small business are invited to an entrepreneurship summit March 18 in Las Cruces, N.M.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Military and Veteran Entrepreneur Summit will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 18 at Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 E. University Ave., Las Cruces, NM 88001.

The agenda (subject to change):

8 a.m., registration and breakfast.

9 a.m., presentation of colors, Pledge of Allegiance, welcome greeting, opening remarks, keynote by SBA advisory committee member and former Navy SEAL Eli Crane.

10 a.m., veteran small business owners success stories panel.

10:30 a.m., business deployment readiness and resources.

10:50 a.m., breakout sessions:

  • Access to capital.

  • Military spouses entrepreneurship opportunities.

  • Becoming procurement ready at the federal, state and city level.

  • Business opportunities and resources.

  • Technical assistance for business.

  • Resource partners one-on-one.

11:50 a.m., buffet lunch, keynotes by American Legion National Judge Advocate Kevin Bartlett and National Veteran Small Business Coalition Executive Director Scott Denniston.

1:15 p.m., breakout sessions:

  • Access to capital.

  • Military spouses entrepreneurship opportunities.

  • Becoming procurement ready at the federal, state and city level.
