A virtual career fair prep workshop in advance of next week’s American Legion sponsored virtual career fair drew some 150 registrants who learned how to register for the career fair and tips to help them through the event.
The American Legion Department of Texas, the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), along with the Legion’s Veterans Employment and Education Commission, are hosting the virtual career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT on Feb. 9. Some 200 companies and 365 job seekers have registered for the event.
On Feb. 2, the Texas Veterans Leadership Program, TVC and TWC presented an online workshop to prepare job seekers for the virtual career fair. Topics included preparing for a virtual career fair; how to register and build one’s profile for the event; and navigating the virtual career fair platform.
