Job fairs online and in-person draw hundreds of job seekers

Nearly 300 jobseekers were connected with over 200 potential employers at two career fairs presented by The American Legion on July 13-14.

A virtual job fair presented July 13 by The American Legion, the Texas Veterans Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission drew 230 registered attendees and 184 registered organizations. With employment opportunities available nationwide and internationally through the event, 809 virtual conversations took place, with 5,094 total visits to employers’ virtual booths.

On July 14, the Department of Virginia and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program presented an in-person career fair in Herndon, Va. The event drew 52 job seekers and 38 employers.
