Media workshop focuses on membership

American Legion post, district and department webmasters, editors and public-relations specialists are invited to participate in the second annual American Legion Digital Media Workshop (DMW). The free of charge workshop is Aug. 26, from 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. during the 95th National Convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

This year’s session is broken into three groups: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Participants can attend any or all of the breakout sessions.

The program focuses on membership promotion using the web and social media, and each group will come together at the end of the breakout sessions for a panel discussion to share best practices and ask questions to American Legion digital media staff.
