Big Twelve Competition winners named

The American Legion’s Big Twelve Competition recognizes departments that meet or exceed their pledged membership goal percentage by the March 90% target date. The department in each category that has pledged the highest percentage and meets this goal receives the award. The percentage does not include members gained through DMS.

There are six categories; the winner in each will be reimbursed for computer equipment purchases of up to $2,000. Runners-up in each category will be reimbursed for computer equipment purchases of up to $1,000.

Department winners:

Category I: Departments of 85,000 or more members - Florida
Category II: Departments of 65,000 to 84,999 members - None
Category III: Departments of 40,000 to 64,999 members - Wisconsin
Category IV: Departments of 25,000 to 39,999 members - Virginia
Category V: Departments of 10,000 to 24,999 members - South Dakota
Category VI: Departments of 9,999 or fewer members - Puerto Rico

Runners up:

Category I: Departments of 85,000 or more members - Pennsylvania
Category II: Departments of 65,000 to 84,999 members - None
Category III: Departments of 40,000 to 64,999 members - Minnesota
Category IV: Departments of 25,000 to 39,999 members - Iowa
Category V: Departments of 10,000 to 24,999 members - Nebraska
Category VI: Departments of 9,999 or fewer members - Idaho
