FODPAL Breakfast canceled for Phoenix, elections on

The 102nd American Legion National Convention in Phoenix will look a good deal different than past conventions.

The scope of the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the cancellation of the 2020 national convention in Louisville, Ky., has lessened. But precautions are still in place, from distancing measures to changes in traditional convention events.

The FODPAL Breakfast, normally held during the convention, has been canceled for 2021. But a FODPAL business meeting, to include elections, will be held on Monday, Aug. 23, at 7 a.m. local time. Any attendee who is a member of a FODPAL post or department may attend. The current group of FODPAL officers has served since the 2019 national convention in Indianapolis, due to the 2020 cancellation.

The exact locations of this and other meetings will be announced in August; all convention events and protocols are subject to change. Read about the safety measures currently in place and see the latest updates on legion.org/convention. Regardless of the protocols where individual attendees live, those of the convention have been developed in cooperation with the host city, Phoenix.
