The net discussed the fires in California, and if posts or the Department of California are assisting first responders and firefighters battling the fires. Doug, N6XLS, said that the fires aren’t affecting his location yet. And that he doesn’t know of any American Legion support in the firefighting effort.
Since The American Legion is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, Net Control decided to conduct an American Legion trivia/history contest of sorts. Net control asked history questions and those who checked into the net answered the questions. An example of a question was: “Who was the first commander of The American Legion?” And “Who is the first female national commander?”
