Tell your post's story on Legiontown

Popular website houses categories for just about anything a member or post does.

From the beginning, The American Legion's Legiontown website was designed for posts to tell the stories of all the good they do every day for servicemembers, veterans, their families and the community. These stories have always been worth telling, but would often run up against simple resource limits of Legion media. When the website was launched, the power of publicity was put in Legionnaires' hands.

Today, Legiontown hosts more than 2,500 published stories. Topics range from Community Memorials/Monuments and Honors & Achievements, to Memorial Day and Oratorical Contest, to Membership Success Stories and Support for Post-9/11 Veterans, and more. Stories are occasionally taken from the website for wider readership in Dispatch and even The American Legion Magazine.

There are opportunities for individuals to tell their stories, too, from Family Legacy to My Time in Uniform to Why I Love My Post.

Submitting stories is free of charge; click here to begin.
