Veteran Outreach and Service Event

May 16, 2025 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Military veterans in and around the greater Helena area are invited to a special two-day veteran outreach and service event at American Legion Post 2.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, representatives from the Montana American Legion, local posts, and the state team will be onsite to connect with area veterans. Learn about The American Legion’s mission, its four pillars of service — Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth — and how we serve Montana communities every day.

 Veterans will have access to:

  • A veteran service officer (Friday only) to assist with VA claims and benefits questions
  • Membership support and information on how to get involved
  • Local Legionnaires available to share what’s happening at your nearby post

This event is part of a broader statewide revitalization effort and runs alongside the Montana American Legion Women Veterans Symposium, also taking place in Helena that weekend, further highlighting the department's dedication to reaching and recognizing all who have served.

Whether you're already a member, new to the area, or simply curious—stop in, ask questions, and see what the Legion can do for you and your community.
