With almost exactly a month to go in the third annual American Legion 100 Miles for Hope campaign, there is a special deal being offered for the first time.
While supplies last, The American Legion is offering discounted registrations and — for the first time — the option to buy a 100 Miles for Hope branded bandana. Here are the two options, available at Emblem Sales effective immediately:
• Register for $19.95 and receive a 100 Miles for Hope tech shirt and bandana.
• Register for $12.95 and receive the bandana.
For those who are interested, don’t delay. There is a limited supply of both shirts and bandanas.
American Legion National Commander Paul E. Dillard issues a reminder of the importance of 100 Miles for Hope as a fundraiser for The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.
“I’ve been impressed with this successful program since its inception,” Dillard said. “We’ve seen our members improve their fitness and wellness. We’ve witnessed creative ways of achieving the 100 miles goal — a wheelchair-bound veteran swimming, an octogenarian riding a mule and a young woman riding her motocross bike are a few that come to mind.
“But at the end of the day, let’s not forget that every dollar raised through the 100 Miles for Hope campaign supports our mission of helping disabled veterans and military families. Let’s show them just how much we care in these final weeks of the 100 Miles for Hope campaign.”
This year’s 100 Miles for Hope challenge concludes on Sept. 5.
