
The field is set for the 2012 American Legion Baseball World Series, which takes place Aug. 17-21.
Eight teams won their respective division’s regional tournaments and are now on their way to Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C., for the 2012 American Legion Baseball World Series. And one team is quite familiar with the state-of-the-art playing field from competing in last year’s Series: Brooklawn, N.J., Post 72, making a second-straight appearance.
The following are the eight American Legion World Series teams:
Northeast Division – Milford, Conn., sponsored by Post 196
Southeast Division – Florence, S.C., sponsored by Post 1
Central Plains Division – Omaha, Neb., sponsored by Post 1
Northwest Division – Bellevue, Wash.
Mid-Atlantic Division – Brooklawn, N.J., sponsored by Legion Post 72.
Great Lakes Division – Moline, Ill., sponsored by Post 246
Mid-South Division – New Orleans, sponsored by Post 125
Western Division – Lakewood, Calif., sponsored by Post 496
