64 Legion teams compete for World Series spots

64 Legion teams compete for World Series spots

American Legion Baseball regional tournaments begin Aug. 5; one team from each region will advance to the World Series in Shelby, N.C., Aug. 13-18.

The 64 American Legion Baseball teams who won their state tournament will now compete in their respective division's regional tournament, Aug. 5-9. Follow the regional games online here. One team from each region will advance to the Legion's 89th World Series, Aug. 13-18, in Shelby, N.C.

ESPN is expanding its coverage of the 2015 ALWS – it's now televising the semifinal games Aug. 17 on ESPNU. The four days of "pool play" leading up to the semifinals will continue to be aired on ESPN's webcasting service, ESPN3, and the championship game on Aug. 18 will also be shown on ESPNU.
