The rain-delayed Great Lakes Regional ended Monday morning, completing the field for the 96th American Legion World Series.
The eight-team field for the 96th American Legion World Series is now complete after a Sunday suspended game was completed on Monday morning in the Great Lakes Regional.
Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Post 671 trailed 1-0 when the game was suspended in the 4th inning on Sunday, but rallied for a 2-1 victory over Midland (Mich.) Post 165 in the game completed Monday.
Reliever and winner Kameron Volz (3 innings, 1 strikeout), Kade Knock (2 hits, 1 RBI), Spencer Wood (double) and Ty Dinusson (bases-loaded walkoff walk in bottom of 7th inning) led Cedar Rapids into the field for the ALWS, which begins Thursday in Shelby, N.C.
