The youngest American Legion Baseball program has been one of the most successful.

Just three years after Puerto Rico’s inaugural Legion season in 1969, Rio Piedras Post 146 reached the American Legion World Series. The program then won the ALWS in 1973 and 1974.

All told, Puerto Rico Legion Baseball has produced three ALWS champions, 10 ALWS appearances and two Baseball Hall of Famers.
