When Major League Baseball’s best take to the field for the 2025 All-Star Game on July 15 in Atlanta, several American Legion Baseball alumni will be among them.

MLB announced the pitchers and reserve position players for this year’s All-Star Game on July 6; starting position players were announced last week.

Among those starting the All-Star Game: Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (Post 47/Waynesville, N.C.), who was selected as an All-Star starter for the first time. Raleigh entered Sunday’s games with 35 home runs, matching Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.’s team record for homers before the All-Star Break. Raleigh is the first Mariners catcher to be selected for the All-Star Game.

Raleigh will also compete in the Home Run Derby on July 14, with his dad, Todd, scheduled to throw to him.

Two starting pitchers who played Legion Baseball were named to their respective league’s All-Star rotations on Sunday: Washington Nationals lefthander MacKenzie Gore (Post 137/Whiteville, N.C.) in the National League, Texas Rangers righthander Jacob DeGrom (Post 3/Deland, Fla.) in the American League.

DeGrom entered Sunday with a 9-2 record this season with a 2.13 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 101 1/3 innings. Gore is just 3-8 this season but has thrown 131 strikeouts in 104 1/3 innings.

Boston’s Alex Bregman (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named a reserve infielder for the American League. He’s batting .299 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs for the Red Sox.

The coaching staffs for both leagues will also carry ties to Legion Baseball, with Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Torre (Brooklyn) serving as an honorary coach for the American League, and Braves manager Brian Snitker (Post 105/Decatur, Ill.) an honorary coach for the National League.
