Baseball centennial bookazine on sale

‘A Century of Citizenship Through Sportsmanship’ is available for purchase online; copies will also be for sale at select Legion events this summer.

A new bookazine commemorating the first 100 years of American Legion Baseball is now on sale.

“A Century of Citizenship Through Sportsmanship” chronicles the history of American Legion Baseball, from its inception at the Department of South Dakota convention in Milbank, S.D., in 1925, through today.

Highlights include profiles of some of the 89 American Legion Baseball alumni who have been enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame; tidbits on the 97 American Legion World Series champions; the legacies of those who helped lead the program; and a treasure trove of photos from throughout ALB’s first 100 years.

The bookazine can be ordered now by emailing baseball@legion.org and will be available through Emblem Sales at $10/copy. Bulk pricing is also available.

Copies will also be on sale at select American Legion events this summer, including the Centennial Classic in Milbank, S.D.; the American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C.; and the national convention in Tampa, Fla.
