Baseball regional sites set for 2026, 2027

Shrewsbury, Mass., and Cherryville, N.C., will each host two regional tournaments the next two years.

The American Legion National Executive Committee (NEC) approved dates and locations for American Legion Baseball’s 2026 and 2027 regionals at the Spring Meetings in Indianapolis, May 7-8.

The eight regionals which feed into the American Legion World Series (ALWS) will take place Aug. 5-9, 2026, and Aug. 4-8, 2027. The 2027 ALWS will be the 100th edition of the championship tournament; while American Legion Baseball celebrates its centennial in 2025, the first ALWS took place in 1926 but there was no tournament in 1927 (financial constraints) or 2020 (the COVID-19 pandemic).

The sites for the 2026 and 2027 regional tournaments are:

Region 1: Shrewsbury, Mass.

Region 2: Shrewsbury, Mass.

Region 3: Cherryville, N.C.

Region 4: Cherryville, N.C.

Region 5: Lexington, Ky.

Region 6: Fargo, N.D.

Region 7: Medford, Ore.

Region 8: Fairfield, Calif.

The 2025 regional tournaments will take place Aug. 6-10 in Shrewsbury, Mass. (Region 1), Ridge, Md. (Region 2), Asheboro, N.C. (Region 3), Washington, Mo. (Region 4), Wheaton, Ill. (Region 5), West Fargo, N.D. (Region 6), Billings, Mont. (Region 7), and Fairfield, Calif. (Region 8). The eight regional winners will advance to the 98th American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C., Aug. 14-19.
