Ninety-five years after Cheyenne won Wyoming’s first American Legion Baseball state title, Cheyenne Post 6 earned the state’s first trip to the American Legion World Series.
Post 6 rebounded from being no-hit by League City (Tex.) Post 554 in the series opener to win their final two pool play games and advance to the semifinals. They would fall short of earning a rematch with Texas when they lost 2-1 to Lincoln (Neb.) Post 3.
