Illinois Legion job fair set for July 11

The Department of Ilinois will conduct a hiring fair for veterans, military personnel and their spouses during the department convention in Springield, Ill.

The American Legion Department of Illinois, along with Hiring Our Heroes, is sponsoring a career fair July 11 for veteran job seekers, active-duty military members, Guard and reserve members, and military spouses. The Illinois Departments of of Veterans and Employment Security, the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve, and Hero 2 Hired: H2H also are sponsors of the event.

The event will take place during the Illinois Legion's annual department convention at the Prairie Capital Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Plaza, Springfield. The career fair is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Hiring Our Heroes will conduct a workshop focused on résumé writing/building, networking and interviewing techniques at 8:30 a.m.
