Legion, Hiring Our Heroes presenting hiring fair, workshops and networking reception.
The American Legion and Hiring Our Heroes will present a career summit in conjunction with the Legion’s 107th National Convention in Louisville, Ky.
The event will take place from 3-6 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Galt House, 140 N. Fourth St., Louisville, KY 40202. Transitioning servicemembers, veterans, military spouses and military caregivers are welcome at the free event.
From 3-4 p.m., job seeker workshops will include topics such as understanding compensation and negotiation, SkillBridge and training opportunities, and preparing for interviews. A networking reception and hiring fair will follow from 4-6 p.m., with local, regional and national organizations hiring for open positions.

The American Legion Auxiliary is providing a family room for veterans and their spouses with children who will be attending the hiring fair. Games and crafts will be provided, along with food and beverages, for the children. Attendees can register their children, ages 5-14, here.
