Post 25 in Newport News will host the Nov. 14 event in conjunction with Hampton’s Post 67.
Two American Legion posts in Virginia are working together to provide a veterans career and community resource fair on Nov. 14.
Braxton-Perkins Post 25, 7609 Marshall Ave., Newport News, Va., will host the event in conjunction with Harry S. Foster Post 67 in Hampton. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at Post 25.
The event will include onsite interviews, veteran and civilian job opportunities, community resources, VA services and benefits information, education and training programs, health and wellness resources, housing and financial support, and more.
Post 67 Commander Patricia “Pat” Aughtry said Legionnaires from both posts are “actively participating to assist veterans, their families, and the community.”
“We are currently promoting the event across military installations in the Hampton Roads area and through local outreach,” Aughtry said. “We also anticipate visits from local city officials and representatives.”
