Deadline for national convention contests is July 20.
The 100th American Legion National Convention in Minneapolis this August provides a historic opportunity for Legion Family color guard units to participate. The National Color Guard Contests will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, in Hall B, Level 1 of the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Four categories are offered: Military, Military-Open, Open and Advancing & Retiring. Competing units must also take part in the National Convention Parade on Sunday, Aug. 26, along Nicollet Mall downtown.
