Bridget Robinson, director of Convention & Meetings, received the award during the Event Service Professionals Association’s meeting in Indianapolis.
The American Legion National Headquarters in Indianapolis is proud to announce that Director of Convention & Meetings Bridget Robinson, CMP, CMM, was recently named ESPA’s (Event Service Professionals Association) Meeting Professional of the Year for 2023. The annual award recognizes “the hard-working meeting professional who exhibits personal and professional characteristics that create an environment that focuses on teamwork, as well as shows support for the event services profession.”
Robinson received the award Jan. 20 during ESPA’s meeting in Indianapolis at the Hyatt Regency. Her family was in attendance along with Michael Walton, chairman of the National Convention Commission.
“This is really a great honor for Bridget as this is a national award where meeting professionals from across our great USA are entered, and she was chosen,” Walton said. “Bridget’s selection was no surprise to me as I have had the pleasure of working with her and her team for several years now and she/they are outstanding at what they do for our sister and brother veterans and our American Legion.
“This national recognition underscores her outstanding leadership in event management and collaboration with event service partners,” he added. “It reflects her dedication to create a teamwork-oriented environment while supporting the event services profession. What is most impressive is that she is not a member of ESPA, so this award highlights Bridget's commendable achievements and abilities outside the association.
“Congratulations, Bridget! Well-deserved acknowledgement after 27 years in the hospitality/event service industry.”
