The American Legion’s 106th National Convention is Aug. 22-28 in Tampa, Fla., where thousands of American Legion, Sons of The American Legion and Auxiliary members will gather. Convention attendees will participate in commission meetings, workshops, training sessions and Legion Family activities, as well as hear from distinguished guests and elect a new national commander on the convention floor at the Tampa Convention Center.

- National Color Guard Contest – Friday, Aug. 22, at 1:30 p.m.
- Patriotic Memorial Service – Sunday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m.
- Convention General Sessions – Tuesday, Aug. 26, Wednesday, Aug. 27, and Thursday, Aug. 28, starting at 8:30 a.m.
Exhibit Hall, West Hall, Third Floor (Friday, Aug. 22 to Tuesday, Aug. 26. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., except on Sunday and Tuesday when it closes at 2 p.m.)
- Blood drive – Sunday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Monday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to preregister for a slot at oneblood.org/donate-now and use sponsor code 77318.
- Claims clinic – The American Legion and VA representatives will provide free assistance with filing benefits claims. Veterans attending should bring their ID, pen and paper, and their DD-214, as well as any documents related to their service treatment record.
- Veterans & Children Foundation – Visit booth No. 407 to win a coin box filled with challenge coins of American Legion past national commanders. Raffle tickets purchased for the coin box support The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.
- Legion Gaming area for attendees to play and interact via daily challenges, giveaways and special appearances. Learn more about the Legion Gaming event.

- “Truths and Myths About the Vietnam War” documentary film screening – Saturday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in Ballroom C, 1st Floor. Admission is free, but seating is limited for both showings.

The 2025 American Legion National Convention mobile app is now available for free download from the Apple Store or Google Play.
