The American Legion will celebrate its 98th birthday on March 15.

American Legion birthday celebration. The American Legion will celebrate its 98th birthday on March 15. Legion posts that plan to host a private or public event to commemorate this anniversary are encouraged to share it on www.legiontown.org. An American Legion birthday speech is available for Legion posts to use during their celebration and can be downloaded at www.legion.org/publications.

Online flag publications updated. The American Legion’s “Let’s Be Right on Flag Etiquette” booklet features 32 pages of questions-and-answers about flag etiquette, visuals on how to fold and display the flag, the Top 10 flag myths, and much more. The booklet is available for the price of $1.

The Legion’s “Let the People Decide” brochure is available for free, and focuses on the Legion’s and the Citizen Flag Alliance’s position with flag burning.
