The American Legion will turn 100 on March 15. It is the day in 1919 when the first American Legion caucus, held by members of the American Expeditionary Force, convened in Paris

As posts hold events to commemorate The American Legion's centennial, a guidelined birthday speech is available for Legionnaires to share the history of the organization, its mission and vision.

Download the birthday speech here.

A public service announcement (PSA) of National Commander Brett Reistad recognizing The American Legion's 100th anniversary and its years of service is available for download. The PSA can be played during birthday events or promoted on social media through the Legion's Vimeo channel.
