The 2020 Combined Americanism Conference will be held virtually on Saturday, Sept. 26. Department program directors, chairmen, staff and volunteers are encouraged to attend.
Conference breakout sessions will include American Legion Baseball, Boys State, Oratorical, Junior Shooting Sports, Children & Youth, and department chaplains. Agendas and other details are online at www.legion.org/cacregistration.
Legionnaires can renew their membership online at www.legion.org/renew. Upon renewal, members can print temporary membership cards to send to their post to receive a permanent membership card. Posts using mylegion.org can also see which post members have renewed online. Otherwise, posts will be notified through their departments so that they can send membership cards.
Donations to The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund for the 2019-2020 membership year has been extended to Dec. 31 of this year. Information is available at www.legion.org/riders/legacyrun/donation. A tiered donation program has been established that entitles donors to various souvenirs from this year’s altered American Legion Legacy Run.
American Legion Rider chapters, districts and departments are encouraged to share how they are fundraising for this scholarship – during these unprecedented times – that supports higher education assistance for children of fallen military and disabled veterans.
