Post offering support to veteran families in Uvalde. At least four members of Tomas Valle American Legion Post 479 in Uvalde, Texas, have lost relatives in the school shooting at Robb Elementary on May 24. Funeral meals and family gatherings have been scheduled at the post, and the mobile VA Vet Center used the post parking lot to offer counseling. Meanwhile, Legionnaires from across the country have reached out to offer condolences and assistance. Post 479 has set up a donation page to support local veterans affected by the school shooting.
