By The American Legion
Dispatch

Subscribers to the weekly American Legion Online Update (ALOU) newsletter are now receiving a new newsletter every Monday called Monday Briefing.

Subscribers to the weekly American Legion Online Update (ALOU) newsletter are now receiving a new newsletter every Monday called Monday Briefing. ALOU subscribers will also receive the weekly Commander’s Message email

The new newsletter will contain relevant news, video links, information and more for American Legion Family members and supporters in an easy-to-read format. Online Update, the Commander’s Message and Monday Briefing will give subscribers more timely information than just the current ALOU, which has been distributed weekly for over a decade.

Here are some common questions and answers about the upgraded newsletters.

Question: I currently subscribe to the Online Update. Do I need to make any changes?

Answer: Current subscribers do not have to make any changes to their current ALOU subscriptions. If you are not already a subscriber, you can opt in by going to  legion.org/newsletters and choosing which American Legion newsletters you would like to receive. Those subscribing to the Commander’s Message will be automatically upgraded to receive Monday Briefing and ALOU.

Question: If I don’t want another newsletter in my inbox, can I cancel the Monday Briefing?

Answer: Unfortunately, no. We are using the same email list for each of the three newsletters. If you unsubscribe from one, you will be unsubscribed from all.

Question: When will these newsletters be delivered?

Answer: In most cases, the newsletters will be distributed before 11 a.m. Eastern time.

Question: What if I’m not a subscriber but I would like to be?

Answer: You can opt in by going to  legion.org/newsletters  and choosing which Legion newsletters you would like to receive.
