There has been a threshold increase to a few of the annual American Legion Child Welfare Foundation awards.

The American Legion Child Welfare Foundation presents special awards annually for outstanding support. The award year is June 1 of the current year through May 31 of the following year.

In the updated Child Welfare Foundation Annual Awards brochure, a few of the award amounts have increased. They are the following:

POST-LEVEL AWARD: “CHILDREN FIRST” GIFT CLUB. Awarded to American Legion posts, Sons of The American Legion squadrons, Auxiliary units, American Legion Riders chapters and Eight & Forty salons for their cumulative donations made during the contribution year.

  • Guardian (gold) $1,500
  • Advocate (silver) $1,000
  • Caretaker (bronze) $750
INDIVIDUAL AWARD: “CORNERSTONE” GIFT CLUB. Awarded to individuals for their cumulative donations made during the current contribution year.
  • Foundation Ambassadors - $1,500; dated gold logo pin with five diamonds
  • President’s Circle - $1000; dated gold logo pin with one diamond
  • Foundation Partners - $500; dated gold logo pin with one blue sapphire
  • Century Club - $250; dated gold logo pin with one amethyst
