During the Department of North Carolina’s convention in Raleigh, businesses were recognized for being patriotic and supporting veterans. The department’s American Legion Patriotic Business Award went to Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center in Charlotte and Chick-Fil-A in Mint Hill. The two businesses were recognized for providing free meals to veterans, participating in veteran-related community events, and celebrating veteran employees.
