How to host a Wellcare event at your post

Your post plays a vital role in helping connect members to trusted resources in their community, including access to quality Medicare Advantage options.

This week holds two significant days of honor and remembrance, and Wellcare is proud to stand with The American Legion in celebrating both:

Marine Corps Birthday – Nov. 10. On this day in 1775, the United States Marine Corps was established, and for 250 years, Marines have embodied courage, commitment and honor. To every Marine, past and present, we thank you for your service and sacrifice. Semper Fidelis.

Veterans Day – Nov. 11. On this day we honor all veterans who have served in our nation’s armed forces. This is a time to reflect on the bravery, dedication and sacrifices made to preserve our freedom. Your service is the foundation of our nation’s strength, and we are forever grateful.

At Wellcare, we are deeply honored to support the veteran community and proud to continue partnering with The American Legion to serve those who have served us all. To every Marine, to every veteran, and to every Legionnaire, thank you.

Partner for a Successful AEP Season – Resources for American Legion Posts

As we enter the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), Wellcare is proud to continue partnering with The American Legion to serve our nation’s veterans and their families. Your post plays a vital role in helping connect members to trusted resources in their community, including access to quality Medicare Advantage options.

How to host a Wellcare event at your post

Partnering with Wellcare during AEP is a simple way to bring valuable education and engagement to your members. Here’s how to get started:

1. Choose Your Event Type:

Medicare 101 Educational Session

Veterans Appreciation Social

Health & Wellness Day

Information Table or Coffee Chat

Community Celebration or Open House

2. Fill out this survey and a Community Relations Specialist will reach out to you. Or contact your local Wellcare representative. Your Community Relations Specialist (CRS) can help coordinate a licensed agent, provide Wellcare-approved materials, and assist with event logistics. Email NationalEvents@centene.com to be connected with your CRS.

3. Plan Ahead:

- Select a visible, high-traffic area in your post.

- Give at least two weeks’ notice to ensure we can provide materials and support.

- Share event details with your members through your post newsletter, social media or bulletin board.

Information to Share with Your Members

During AEP (Oct. 15 – Dec. 7), veterans eligible for Medicare have an opportunity to review and make changes to their health plans. While post commanders should not discuss plan details or enrollment options, your members can connect with your local Wellcare Community Relations Specialists. Your specialist will be able to connect your members with licensed agents for plan education.
