Read what attendees of the NRIC in Denver and Boston learned and why they attended.

John Ryan of Post 2 in Bristol, Conn., who attended the training in Boston said, “I found that by attending, interacting, listening and asking questions, I significantly increased my understanding of how to successfully contribute to the organization and community. I feel more confident, and I believe that will translate into a plus for the post. I strongly believe it is important for members of all experience levels to attend. Those with minimal knowledge will learn, and those with more knowledge will learn and contribute to those of us who hear your stories and advice.”

Instruction for the one-day conference includes:

  • Be the One suicide prevention mission
  • Legal
  • American Legion programs
  • Running an effective meeting
  • Post operations
  • Membership retention

Training is a priority of the 21st Century Report, which focuses on three areas – Legacy and Vision; Membership and Member Engagement; and Training – for implementation at all levels of the organization to ensure The American Legion continues to serve community, state and nation. Learn more about the 21st Century Report and training here
