In advance of Veterans Day, “Our Country’s Veterans” helps elementary students learn about the service of men and women in the armed forces.
Veterans Day is Nov. 11 and as Legionnaires visit youth in elementary schools, they can help educate about veterans and their service through The American Legion’s “Our Country’s Veterans” comic book.
The comic book teaches students what a veteran is, the variety of roles they can perform in the armed forces, their service and sacrifice, how to thank a veteran, and how to be a good citizen. “Our Country’s Veterans” comic book is available for purchase to hand out to elementary students to help them understand the military service of our men and women.
