Congratulations to six American Legion departments for achieving a minimum of 90% retention rate for the 2026 membership year.
Resolution No. 17: Department Retention Award, passed at the 2024 Spring Meetings, financially recognizes departments for retaining members. To qualify for the award, departments must have a minimum 90% retention rate and the decimal point will be carried out to three places. National Headquarters must have received membership transmittals by June 30.
Departments are categorized the same as the Big Twelve Competition regarding department membership size. The winner in each of the six categories will receive $2,000.

Category I: Pennsylvania (91.560%)
Category II: Wisconsin (92.324%)
Category III: Nebraska (93.295%)
Category IV: South Dakota (93.311%)
Category V: Utah (93.288%)
Category VI: Wyoming (93.218%)
