The American Legion’s 107th National Convention is Aug. 28 to Sept. 3 in Louisville, Ky., where thousands of American Legion, Sons of The American Legion and Auxiliary members will gather. Convention attendees will participate in commission meetings, workshops, training sessions and Legion Family activities, as well as hear from distinguished guests and elect a new national commander on the convention floor at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC).

The following events held at the Kentucky International Convention Center (221 S. 4th Street) will be streamed live on The American Legion’s YouTube page. All times listed are Eastern, and are tentative and/or subject to change.
National Color Guard Contest – Friday, Aug. 28, at 10:30 a.m., KICC, Hall D, Upper Concourse.
JROTC Contests – Friday, Aug. 28, 2:30 p.m., KICC, Hall D, Upper Concourse.
Band Contest – Saturday, Aug. 29, 1 p.m., KICC, Hall D, Upper Concourse.
Patriotic Memorial Service – Sunday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m., KICC, Hall D, Upper Concourse.
General Sessions – Tuesday, Sept. 1, Wednesday, Sept. 2 and Thursday, Sept. 3, 8 a.m. start, KICC, Hall D, Upper Concourse. A lunch break will be held on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m.

Claims clinic – Friday, Aug. 28 to Sunday, Aug. 30, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., KICC, M105, Main Concourse. The American Legion and VA representatives will provide free assistance with filing benefits claims. Veterans attending should bring their ID, pen and paper, and their DD-214, as well as any documents related to their service treatment record.
Be the One Mental Wellness Committee – Friday, Aug. 28, 1-2:30 p.m., KICC, Ballroom D, Main Course. Meeting attendees must be registered to attend the national convention.
Blood drive – Friday, Aug. 28, Monday, Aug. 31, and Tues. Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., KICC, Hall B, Upper Concourse. Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to preregister for a slot at here.
Subject Matter Expert Training – Saturday, Aug. 29, and Monday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., KICC, L006, Lower Course.
