The 2026 American Legion Gold Brigade, Silver Brigade, Bronze Brigade and Recruiter of the Year named.
The American Legion recognizes Legionnaires for their outstanding membership recruiting efforts at the post level with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Brigade awards. American Legion members can earn the Gold Brigade award for recruiting 50 or more new members, Silver Brigade for recruiting 25-49 new members, and Bronze Brigade for recruiting 15-24 new members.

For the second year in a row, The American Legion National Recruiter of the Year for 2026 is Martha “Marti” Bigbie of Post 142 in St. George, Utah, who recruited 476 new members. Bigbie will receive an all-expense paid trip to the 107th American Legion National Convention in Louisville, Ky., at the end of August where she will be recognized on the convention stage and attend the National Commander’s Banquet as a distinguished guest.
