The American Public Education Foundation wants students to "unite and sing together" at and 10 a.m. PST and 1 p.m. EST.

On Sept. 11, youth nationwide are asked to "unite and sing together" "The Star-Spangled Banner" at 10 a.m. PST and 1 p.m. EST.

The American Public Education Foundation (APEF) began the National Anthem movement two years ago to get "students involved in learning the words and meaning of our nation’s anthem, as well as uniting as a country is key,” said Mia Toschi, founder of the National Anthem movement and APEF national director. “When students come together to celebrate citizenship, everyone wins.”
