A "Quilts of Valor Day of Service" will take place on Monday, May 4, during Spring Meetings. Participation is open to all.
You are cordially invited to attend a Quilts of Valor Day of Service. What is a Day of Service? It’s a day to come together to follow the mission of The American Legion Family. Volunteers can stay all day or come for a few hours or a few minutes.
Quilts of Valor is a nationally recognized program whose mission is to cover all those service members touched by war with healing and comforting quilts called a Quilt of Valor. These quilts are tangible reminders of appreciation and gratitude. The QOV is a national grassroots community service effort, connecting the home front with our wounded combat warriors and veterans. Quilts of Valor are stitched with love, prayers, and healing thoughts.
Can’t sew? You can press, or cut, or just come and hang out to see what it’s all about. We promise to get you hooked!
When: May 4, 2015 - 10:00 am—4:00 p.m.
