First South Korea post gets special visitor for stand-up ceremony

National Commander Barnett stops in during Far East trip.

American Legion National Commander Dale Barnett installed and swore in Col. Lewis L. Millett Memorial Post 38 officers during the chartering and post stand-up ceremony in Seoul, Korea, on Dec. 4. Officers sworn in were: Michael Napsey (commander), William Wight (1st vice commander), William Black (adjutant), Steven Tharp (finance officer), Tim Lane (chaplain), Donald Wong (historian and staff judge advocate), Bill Beatty (service officer) and David Hill (sergeant-at-arms). Post 38, under the Department of the Philippines, is the first American Legion post ever established in South Korea.
