Hamvention went well

Ham Radio

Booth garners 36 new club members.

In the wake of the 2016 Hamvention in Dayton, Ohio, we look back on it with a smile, because it appears the word is getting out about the existence of TALARC. Success in doing that has, in fact, improved each year with our participation in Dayton.
Fifty-five current members of TALARC stopped by the booth to say "hello" to the staff and the volunteers who helped man the booth there. Thirty-six Legion members signed on as new TALARC members there, and three veterans joined both The American Legion and the radio club. It was a good couple of days!
Our thanks to those who took the time to visit and interview with our videographer. Keep an eye out on the club website, www.legion.org/hamradio, for the results of the interviews. You'll hear how others went about forming a radio club within their post or area. You may get a few ideas from the interviews that you can put to work where you're located. Give it a couple of weeks for editing and placement on the TALARC website.
